Airmatic rubber broken, how to fix?

Dear group,

I noticed a rumbling sound when driving just now on the left front side. When I came home, I jacked up the front and the cause of the noise seems to be the rubber covering the suspension strut that broke and rubbed the tyre.
(It looks like I shed some pieces too during the ride)

Anyone have experience fixing this? Is this something a novice like me can do?

Thanks for the feedback!

You can buy just the dust cover and replace it. You would want to do that asap to prevent dirt from getting inside and killing the bag. The real question is, what caused it to tear?

I took a lot of time, but I finally came around to fix this.

Here's a video on YouTube
