Big Yellow Thermometer Graphic?

Hi
Does anyone know what this is? Sometimes it appears when the temp climbs a little and also when the temp drops a little. It frequently disappears after a few minutes of driving. The check engine light was just a loose gas cap. But the yellow thermometer continues appear.

Without a code there is no way to know. I know when mine had low coolant it would spell it out for me.

That could be the car is not getting warm enough due to a bad thermostat.

Check, and see if an OBD scanner says p0128.

You might not be getting to operating temperature as quickly as the computer expects. By the same token (bad thermostat) your engine might be getting a little warmer than it expects.
Codes might yield the answer.
