New Key

I lost one key. Is there a (reasonably) inexpensive way to replace it?

Nope, MB USA is the only source for new keys, but shop around as different dealers do different markups.
I moved to Las Vegas, but remember in California a dealer, who placed in suburban was always offering good prices. So when visiting there, I got new key, what saved me about $400 comparing to what Vegas dealers wanted.
Also beware that after Covid things take longer than they used to. Now wait time can exceed a week.

Thank you Kajtek, for the quick reply.
Must the remaining key be with the dealer in order to duplicate?

I assume you are talking about the current smart keys. No, the dealer does not need your existing key to order a new one. They do need to establish that you are the owner and may demand to see the car in person with you. Be prepared to pay $600- $800

I paid $560 for keyless go including programming and $162 for the knob for older car. But that was before Covid and new President.

As others said, call around for prices, some dealers have coupons online that may make it slightly cheaper. Also depending on the year of the car, a locksmith might be able to make a key also. But I don't think they're that much cheaper than the dealer. In the future, I would suggest adding an Apple airtag to the keyring of the fob or a Tile, much cheaper than a new key.
