I have a 2010 S212 E350 CDI BlueTEC. My engine management light recently lit amber. Around the same time, the transmission started getting a bit clunky/jerky.
I bought an OBDII reader to use with my phone. It reported the following: Car Scanner ELM OBD2 DTC report Selected brand: Mercedes-Benz

A bit of Googling led me to believe that I needed to replace the manifold pressure sensor so I ordered this:
Today I lifted the bonnet to attempt to fit it. On removing the plastic engine cover, I discovered that there appears to be an oil leak per the photos below. Is anyone able to advise me what the source of the leak is?
Hi, I'm sorry but can't answer your question but I was wondering if you found out the cause because popped the bonnet up on mine today and it looks the same, although my fault codes are P2459, P148A and P1219, I'm currently scouring Google for advise🤦🏻♂️ hope you got yours sorted👍

I did get mine sorted. Google Mercedes black death, and you'll find plenty of info about what this is. Good luck getting it repaired and cleaned up.

I thought black death was on the older inline 6 engines (om648 I think). Usually the oil leaking on the OM642s is from the oil cooler, never heard of the black death problem with ours.
