Fuzzy screen on 360 view
All other screen views system, sat nav etc, are clear and fine so I assumed in fitting the new electric locking mechanism to the boot door, something to do with the cameras was dislodged as it looked like electrical interference in that you could just make out the image but it was very grainy and faint, like a tv aerial not connecting properly.
The garage took the car back and ran some tests and concluded that it was the control unit which was extremely expensive to replace and they said they had never seen this before.
I can''t help wondering if this is still a connection issue and they just need to look a bit harder but difficult to argue when they have investigated.
Has anyone seen this problem before please or have any ideas what to check - the control unit appears to be solid state so should go wrong and is in the rear RHS of the car, I've looked at the connections and they all seem fine but wonder if it might be a connection inside the door as that is where the lock was replaced and one of the cameras is and I'm reluctant to start opening that up without a diagram or similar?
Many thanks in advance.
SVS (360° camera)
U014786 - Communication with the Audio/COMAND control module is faulty. An incorrect signal exists. (Stored)
B1FBF8F - The 360° camera at the front end is faulty. The signal or message is irregular. (Current and Stored)
Had it diagnosed by an indy that specializes in MB electronics and ADAS stuff. I was assuming worst case scenario that the camera would be dead, but it turns out the wiring harness for the camera was damaged / corroded. He replaced the harness, calibrated the camera and it was working again. Saved me from spending upwards of $1,000 for a new camera + programming + labour.
Can you scan the car for codes and see what comes up?
