tested drove a few 14-16, need suggestions!

Hi,

I'm looking to buy 14-16 e350. I have checked out a few and it seems they all leak at the front timing cover.
During my research, it seems a pretty straight forward job without removing much, and plug and play with new parts.
However, I'm not a mechanic, I would like to know the cost of labor for this job in SoCal, and if possibly recommendation of indie shops. thank you.

Also, is it normal that this engine has kinda a rattle noise? I have checked out a few in carmax they all sounds similar.

I'm seeing $18k for a 70k miles 2014 E350 private party, is it a fair price?

You started another thread about the same topic in the sub-forum. Anything wrong with the previous suggestions/recommendations?

Is it not better to continue on the same thread?

socal is a huge place, as that typically everything south of a line from about Santa Maria to Barstow to Mojave, all the way down to the Mexican border. I could suggest some good independents here in Santa Cruz where I live, but thats many hours drive from, say, LA.
