Intake manifold removal and reassembly

Hello all
I am getting ready to repair my intake manifold on w212 E350 4matic 272 engine this will my first repair on the intake manifold flap and a leaking vacuum line, I am pretty sure this has been discussed in the past and was wondering if someone can point me to the correct discussion on the steps to remove and reassemble back the intake manifold plus torque specs and since I need to replace the gaskets also do I need to add like some kind of gasket maker/ sealer

thank you

There are several youtube videos on how to replace the manifold. You can get the pierburg manifold from anyone, but FCPEuro has a lifetime warranty on all the parts they sell but it'd probably be a long while before it goes again. Yes, you also need to buy new intake manifold gaskets, make sure when they come, they're both flat. One of mine had a slight bend in it and had a hard time staying on. It's very easy for the gaskets to slide out of place when putting the manifold on and if they are, you're going to get air leaks. You should also pick up 6 fuel injector o-rings as those should be replaced and you also need some silicon lubricant for them. You should also replace the oil separator and breather cover as that going is what causes the manifold to go in the first place.

No idea, never heard of them. Guess you will be the guinae pig if you try them, they're much cheaper than the Pierburg. Pierburg was OEM though so you know it'll fit and work correctly. If you watch the video, it's not something you want to do again in a few years.

Do not fix this intake manifold. All you are doing is wasting your time and money. The biggest issue with these units is the inside plastic that come apart. Fixing the outside lever does nothing for the rest of the issue. So just buy a genuine reman or new unit.
