It's very convenient to automatically connect to CarPlay when I get in the car, and there's basically no difference compared to the CarPlay that comes with the original car. Most importantly, my car finally has CarPlay. I'm excited and want to share this with everyone.
I want to share my project and hope it can help people who are planning to do similar upgrades. Here's how to install the CarPlay module:
1. Use tools to remove the two clips on the passenger side glove box location.
2. Remove the center console air vent trim panel.
3. Use tools to remove the air vent position, paying attention to the clips.
4. Loosen the two screws that secure the main unit with tools.
5. Remove the CD main unit.
6. Remove the power cable on the back of the CD main unit.
7. Remove the LVDS video cable on the back of the CD main unit.
8. Connect the original car power cable to the module power cable female connector.
9. Insert the module power cable male connector into the main unit end.
10. Connect the original car LVDS video cable to the module video cable female connector.
11. Insert the module video cable into the main unit end.
