Corrosion warranty extended to 20 years
On 15 February, Mercedes extended the corrosion warranty on some models to 20 years. I don’t know if it’s limited to rear subframes or covers the entire car but in any case, those that paid to have the rear subframe replaced may be eligible for reimbursement. Mercedes-Benz USA can confirm whether your VIN is covered. I have a 2012 W212 and it was covered. Earlier today, I submitted my repair receipts to the dealership for reimbursement. Good luck!

Wow, only in USA.
I once emailed MB indonesia to ask about Tanaka airbag recall and if my car is effected or not, they never even replied.
However my contact details were logged and kept and I started getting their sales email on new model launch...DUGGH!!!!

And yeah, traditionally in the US it's very easy to file a lawsuit and NHTSA looks at safety problems so you get warranty coverage in the US, but not in other countries. Seems like each country has their own division of MB and they decide what they want to cover and what not to cover.
You'd have to check with MB Canada. It was only announced for the US.
