Issues after replacing airmatic valve block

I could use a little help. I replaced the airmatic valve block to fix a leaky system. The front end would be on on the ground after about 3 days of sitting. I got the valve block replaced yesterday without any real issue. The car appears to be at the same height as it was yesterday. But on a brief drive this morning it is apparent that something is wrong. The rear end feels unstable going over bumps and I’m also getting some rear end rattling, even though I did not touch any other suspension components. Any thoughts on this? I’m going to jack it back up to see if I can find anything but all I can think of is maybe something came loose when all of the air was deflated from the bags.

Meh, found the issue. Like I had suspected, the air spring collapsed and came out of its mount when it was fully deflated. Luckily I only drove it for about 4 minutes and didn’t get above 35mph taking my kid to his bus stop this morning or that could have been bad.

Those are symptoms of a rusted out sub frame as well. Glad to hear you got it sorted out.

How did you put it back? Did you lifted back up from that side, and man handled back in? Also where did you get your block at?

it was the right rear so luckily it was the easiest line to access again on the valve block. I opened up the line to let it deflate and was then able to realign the bag into place. Then after I reconnected the line again I started the car and lowered the Jack a bit to get the pump to turn on. Then I was basically able to hold the bag in place as it pressurized and snapped into place. I bought one of the $70 blocks on eBay. Most reviews I found people were using this one instead of the $300 oem one.
