W212 Daytime running lights
Hi all,
Starting this thread as I have seen several threads detailing suitable LED replacements for some, but not all, front facing lights for the base W212 E Class.
The most often neglected bulb is that for the DRL for the lower or base spec W212 E class. I've not seen a thread on this newer than 10 years so I thought I'd start one.
I have recently replaced most of the front facing bulbs of my E-class with LEDs. For the DRLs for the models with the round fogs, suitable LEDs would be PSX26W bulbs.
The installation is semi-permanent but with a hammer and flat-head screwdriver the OEM bulbs can be removed and replaced.
For my car I took the bumper off to replace the bulbs. I don't know whether this DRL replacement would be viable without removing the bumper.

Can you be more specific on that. So the fog h11 can be swapped right from the housing while on the bumper, but the DRLs are close shut inside the housing? So either change the housing as a whole unit, or break it open to add the new LEDs, correct?

Hi
Can someone please help me what I need to do in order to get rid of the error just did the facelift and tried putting g4 bulb (goes inside the plug) doesn’t turn on. H11 bulb too big. Erasing the error and it just comes back on. Can someone please tell me the small bulb I can use to light up and get rid of the error. It’ll be hidden anyways so don’t care if it’s on always.
