I recently decided to replace my A/C Compressor so I ordered a new one and it came with this metal cover over the clutch, should I leave it on or take it off (if I should take it off, how do I take it off, it seems very solid)?

No, I ordered one from ebay, it arrived and looked very similar to the one that was OE.
I ended up installing it and charging the system. Works well, AC blows nice and cold.
For anyone wondering, I torqued the mounting bolts to 18 foot pounds (I just eyeballed one because it was hard to reach) and I just snugged up the connectors for the low and high sides.
I'll be checking up on it in the coming days and weeks to make sure its all still study n whatnot.
