2016 E Sirius Traffic
2016 E Sirius Traffic
Hi All,
I recently subscribed to Sirius traffic, however, on my Navi screen after pushing the scroll wheel downward I do not see any options for traffic.
I read some posts stating that the ESN for "data" and "radio" are different, but does this apply to the NTG5.1 head-units?
I'm not sure when the last upgrade of the head-unit has been. I'm assuming never...
Also I'm located in Canada, not sure if that changes things.
Thanks

I used to subscribe and traffic was showing automatically. When I canceled the subscription, I still could find traffic in the menu and when I clicked on it, it would give me phone number to call for subscription.
I canceled it, as even $3.50 per months is still the expense, when not driving much in traffic, I use google maps on my phone for that.
I found google much friendlier, than MB/Sirus traffic.
My visiting friend using MB traffic was directed 5 miles into street traffic, because freeway slowed down to 30 mph.

Think Waze is a lot better than, because Sirius XM doesn't pick up much except in large cities and major interstates from what I have read.

I drove with Sirus traffic in my pickup all the way to Alaska and actually had more lost signals in Las Vegas, than in Yukon. Obviously in Yukon there was not much to respond to.
Did not try that far with Mercedes GPS, but Ford with USA mapping, found small house on remote street in Price Ruppert, BC. Pretty impresive
