C207 2016 E400 Coupe Vancouver BC help to add CarPlay - Vancouver area dealers?
Hello All,
Reaching out to the community, specifically based in/around Vancouver BC. I have a 2016 E400 Coupe, manufactured April 2015 and has the build line '531 COMAND APS NTG5/NTG5.5 '
I have extensively read all the threads on this forum about how to upgrade this, but it all starts with having a Mercedes dealer do a firmware upgrade to get the COMAND to 5.1 . Once that is completed, then the options become available for purchasing the aftermarket
So far I have tried to do this with Mercedes Boundary and Mercedes Surrey, but no luck. Neither of them will agree to do this upgrade, even when I referenced the MB USA published Smartphone Integration Package (14U) document.
Does ANYONE know of a Mercedes dealer in the area that would be willing to work on this for the COMAND upgrade to 5.1?
There was a contact mentioned in some of the threads at the Surrey dealer but it looks like that contact has since moved on to another dealership (non MB).
