How far do the W212 E220's run?
Hey,
I'm looking at buying a s212 as my first car, around 2010-2012. Some of those in my area have run around 300-400k kms already as they've been driven as taxis. Are these generally fine to buy with some life left, or should they be avoided? I've heavily considered them as they are in a way nicer price range, and I've heard from some people that high milage w212s are usually alright as long as they've got a diesel engine in them.
Any advice is appreciated
Thanks

The engine will more than likely have some life left. The suspension and other components is what I would be worried about. BUshings, shocks, struts, control arms, tie rod ends ....... stuff like that gets pricey. That and can ya verify maintenance history.
