? About staggered wheels on my wagon
I have a question about this staggered wheel set up on our 2014 Wagon.
it has 265/35/19 on the rear and 235/35/19 on the front.
It drives fine and no errors on monitors. Just drove it 800 miles between SF/LA round trip and no issues.
is this a set up that makes sense? The tires have about 80% life left in them and would like to know if I should keep these sizes when I eventually replace them.
They look great on this wagon, hope I’m not damaging anything. I bought it this way.

That set-up could cause problems for a 4matic car, in your case it changes the parameters ever so slightly for anti-lock brakes and stability control, but with out an error message on the dash after that many miles, it's likely fine.

The late model SUV I bought a couple months ago came with 22" wheels and /45 tires... I swapped those wheels out for 18" with /65 tires and am way happier running around the central coast and beyond.

That tire size is slightly off from optimal. To keep the overall height and average revolutions per mile the proper rear size would be 265/30/19.

the OP claims to be from Oakland CA, where many of the roads are about as bad as NE. Only place I'd want /35 tires would be on a race track, not on a family grocery getter. I wish I could mount 16" wheels with like /55 or /60 tires, frankly. Our previous "E" wagon, a 1994 E320 'w124', had 195/65R15....

thank you all for the info. I’ll think about downgrading the wheels to a smaller diameter once the tires are worn out.
