They work. Thats all. Taking the trunk liner apart takes longer than the installation. Doesn't need to come out of the car, youre just undressing it. Use a trim tool or you'll fail. The latch plastic area comes out with a trim tool, it's gonna make loud snapping noises. Two nuts up top, one fastener on the bottom. One electrical connector. 1 hour 15 minutes for both sides. Job pays 3.5.

You will NOT have ADS, so the ECU is not telling the dampers what to do based on speed. You now have velocity-sensitive dampening which is what Koni, Bilstein have had for a while. I can't tell a difference. I couldn't even tell you there is a HUGE difference to be honest between the blown ones and the good ones until the bad ones were out of the car. Most of the leak was internal so you could hear the fluid blowing past the internal seals.

I could change lanes at 110mph on the way home without the tail wagging around so they work beautifully as intended. I don't think its an upgrade at all but its a simple replacement. New struts IIRC are like $1000. These were $250 from my supplier at cost. I'd probably sell them to a customer for $400. The job is not ANY different from any other strut on any Mercedes. It's the exact same procedure it's always been.
