Android screen in Jap S212

Has anyone installed one of these into a japanese E series please?

I have spent the last 3 days trying to get this to work on an NTG4.5 japanese unit and I seem to get no communication with the command system. The android screen itself functions, if I open a door it shows it on the screen (so there is clearly some canbus comms happening), I can use apps etc but there is no audio (aux is enabled and selected) regardless of wether the aux cable is connected (had to connect it via AMI) and the NTG mode is blank, there appears to be no communication with the command system.
The correct NTG version is selected in the NTG Setup app. I have tried every screen resolution option.

Aux activation fails.
Screen claibration fails.

Was looking for any help/pointers please? The only thing I can see that may help (and could be a complete no hope) is the CAN type, the unit ships with it set to 140 (not that I understand what 140 signifies) and was wondering if this needed changing to something else?
