Suspension Lift?

After 25 years of only ever owning pickup trucks I just got a 2012 S212 (M276). Could not be happier! Except for one thing: I didn't realize how low it is!! In addition to having a hard time getting out of it (I'm 6'2" with awful knees) I also fish a lot with access down dirt roads.

So I'm curious if anyone has altered their ride height? Maybe when switching from the air ride system after failure?

Not looking for some ridiculous modification. Not even looking for anything like the E400 All-Terrain. Just thinking about something to get me off the ground.

Anyone ever done or heard of it?

the 'luxury' aka 'comfort' packages have a taller ride than the 'sport' packages. afaik, its just different springs and shocks. its about 1" difference.

in the 3rd world, there's a rough road suspension package which is even taller, but I don't know if different control arms are involved or what

Taller coils or spring spacers...

But once you go over a certain height you might need to make additional modifications to keep the suspension geometry correct. You might even need to swap in things like longer brake lines to account for the greater distance traveled with the addition of longer suspension components.
