Sunroof
Have a 2011 E350 W212 and recently noticed a wet floor mat on the passengers side. Suspecting a clogged drain on the passengers side of the sunroof I attempted to open the sunroof....no joy. So now the sunroof is inoperable . It appears to have no power so I checked the 30 amp fuse under the hood...looked ok. Next I tried to reset by toggling the switch in the prescribed sequence....no joy. So I guess that it is either a bad motor or a bad switch. Searched for a replacement switch but it appears that the switch is not sold as a switch but rather the whole overhead panel. A new panel is $$$$ but it is available on eBay.
I need some thoughts on how to proceed as I don't know if I can replace the motor if I can't open the sunroof.
Seeking some input from others.....thanks

I will focus on the water leak first. Ignore the electrical issue.
Remove the overhead control panel first. You should see the electric motor, and hex/torx keyhole where you can fit a hex/torx key. Rotate and open the sunroof manually.
Monitor the panel is moving uniform/ symmetric, and open as much as you need. Fix the clogged drain.
Then we can proceed with the electricals

Thanks for the input....sadly the port does not exist in my car. I know that I will have to lower/remove the whole panel to get to the motor to manually operate.
I just thought I was missing something....thanks again anyway.
