2012 E550
Brake fluid leak
I have a 2012 E550 and out of nowhere I got a brake fluid low warning and a soft pedal, but was still able to stop. Put some fluid in and drove around the block, and the pedal never firmed up and the low fluid warning came back after like 5 minutes. This was this morning before work, so I didn't have any real time to inspect, but am curious if there are known issues with the brakes leaking. Appreciate your help. No, I didn't drive it to work.

The brake pipe ( steel ) are known to corrode in countries with winter salt

Since it is leaking that much, refill the brake fluid reservoir. Park the car, engine on, and start pressing the brake pedal multiple times --> Look under the car to isolate the leak: Front, middle, or rear. Follow the drip and summarize your finding: burst corroded line, or leak at a connection?
