Arrow Aftermarket Tire Pressure System

Bulbhead just posted a new product, an aftermarket Tire Monitoring System. It is a standalone system, not requiring any mods to the car. The module simply plugs into the ciggy lighter. Not expensive, either. Wireless Tire Pressure Monitor | BulbHead

My only concern is the vulnerability of the tire stem caps to theft.

Thanks for bringing it up .
Well, I doubt it would be as much as eye catching as any brand logo valve stem caps . I have been using solid metallic ones and no one cares about them but even plastic ones with logo can be stolen by those stealers

Not to ruffle feathers, but why?
My stock one does same thing; just have to scroll thru steering wheel menu and bring it up.

In the US, all new cars sold on or after September 1, 2007, must be equipped with a TPMS. And, as @ygmn mentioned, tire pressures are displayed in the IC menu. Not sure tire air temperature is important.

What's wrong with the factory system you already have?

Geez, fellas. I am perfectly satisfied with the factory system I already have on my 2016 W212. I just mention this system for those that don't. I've learned there are significant equipment differences within the W212 model run. I have no idea what TPMS system a 2010 W212 has.

There are several threads on this forum discussing faulty TPMS systems among W212s. If I still owned my 2001 C320, I would consider this system. The price is right for an old car.

And while all cars sold since 2007 should have a TPMS system, not all of them are alike. Many systems simply show a graphic stating a tire is low, but not by how much low, or even the corner location of the low tire. My wife's 2014 Hyundai Sonata's TPMS shows which tire is low (which corner), but does not show the estimated pressure within.

I guess if I hung fuzzy dice from my rearview mirror, it would be a cool mod. I'm sure it adds 10 hp.

(No mercy!)
