There is also lastvin.com and mb.vin
MB.VIN seems to do the latest ones, the other ones will work on older models.

I have found www.lastvin.com to be the most accurate and complete, if your car is not too new.
If you have a Japanese market car, you may need to use the chassis number. Chassis Number - CAR VX
