S212 rear door handle removal?
Looking to remove my rear door handle, is it the same as the front door but just needing a much longer T20 torx driver? There’s a much larger gap between that little rubber grommet and the actual handle on the rear door as compared to the front. Or does the door card have to come out?
TIA

Just did this yesterday. You’ll need to get a long T20 screwdriver (Amazon is easiest).
After that it’s the same as the front door:
- loosen T20 completely
- pull handle outwards and remove cover from beside handle (wiggle straight out perpendicular to door)
- return handle to normal position, pull rearward until rear of handle pulls clear of internal mechanism, then pull outward & twist slightly to get front of handle to clear hole
You won’t reach the T20 without a long device- stacking socket extensions won’t work due to small diameter of access hole.
