Cleaning & Testing Radiator Cooling Fan - P/N A204 906 6802

I did a part search.
So I guess this 600 watts fan is for up to M273 , a 382HP being the limit.
Made by BROSE. I never heard of this brand. I thought it would be Valeo or Bosch or Hella.

ABOVE : Side facing the radiator
.
ABOVE : SIDE FACING ENGINE.
-----------------
When I spin by hand, visually the fan look wobbly.
In actual fact it is because of the fan blade extra circular re-inforcement in red. Blade is in green.
See the video below :
.
Back in 2023 I overheated one of the blade stupid-ly using heat gun.

So today I tried to smoothen out the "melted" wrinkle as to not cause vibration.
I also cleaned the fan from dust...it was decenlt clean inside under the plastic fan blade.
I did not open up the motor, it is sealed with sealant.
I blew compressed air to the coil windings to get rid of dust.

Always protect the radiator surface when removing or installing radiator fan.
In M276 3.0TT engine and facelift version bumper, its more of a hassle to remove this big fan and its shroud assy.
.
.
.
M276 3.0TT has extra hoses at RIGHT SIDE of radiator body, which is for aftercooler heat exchanger.
More hassle.
Facelift model with grille you can't remove unless removing the bumper, this aluminum plate makes work more difficult.
It will not come out.
P/N for above plate.
This ASSISTING part of the fan shroud to prevent illegal air from being sucked by the fan thus can't be removed too.
This is the P/N of this ASSISTING part, called Air Duct
.
Good thing facelift round MB logo is removeable and thus I can push this ASSISTING plastic+rubber thing.
.

One thing to note for W212 E400 owners.
This is the entire condenser + aftercooler Heat Exchanger + tranny oil cooler and radiator lay out.
From front bumper towards engine bay direction.
First layer = HVAC condenser
2nd layer is a combo of aftercooler heat exhanger and tranny oil cooler
This is the correct UP orientation. Tranny cooler is at bottom.
Thermostatic block of tranny oil cooler
.
Third layer = radiator
.
The PN on the radiator, you will never find in EPC. I don't know why. Below is the junk yard radiator P/N, yep the same as mine on the car.
On my car
By my VIN and using EPC, I will be given a radiator 99% having a combo tranny oil cooler on its side.
EPC screw up is not new for me. My EPC is 2018 version.

.
Okey dokey, have fun cleaning and inspecting your radiator fan.
