E350 white vapour / limp mode
Hi friends,
Some troubles with my OM642.
I was driving along regularly, when I noticed the car would jolt forward whenever I let off the accelerator. I switched it off, and the car would not rev past 2000rpm. I scanned the car and had a "Boost Pressure" code. At the top of the air charge pipe, the green O-ring was torn to bits. I replaced it accordingly, put everything back and the car seemed to run correctly on idle.
Afterwards, after driving away for less than 20 metres, the engine shook violently mainly from the passenger side and had white vapour coming out of the exhaust. I had code 13D700, but code never shows up anymore. After some diagnostics, the car doesn't go in limp mode when the Y intake manifold from the turbo to the air filters is off, but when it is placed on the car will not rev past 1500rpm. The white vapour continues out of the exhaust, but is not thick and is odorless. The engine sounds normal too.
