Is this fixable (gas in diesel)

Yesterday I bought my first w212 I’ve had almost 40 Mercedes and quite a few e classes and diesels at that but never a 212 yesterday I was on marketplace and stubbled apon a white over brown 2012 e350 bluetec with one major problem. They put gas in the tank and drove it for about 200 feet and in the listing seller cranked it on for a few seconds. I sent a lowball offer of 500$ and shocking they took it. So now I’m the proud owner of a potential nightmare. Is this car savable or would I be better off parting it out? These aren’t cheap in my area closest one is 12k

Flush the fuel system and drive the car. Changes are there is no damage to the engine.

Anything else wrong with the car? How do you know for sure they put gas in the tank? Seems too good to be true. Why didn't the seller just flush the fuel system and sell it for $5000?

Well gas is lighter so should have floated on top in tank...
Fuel pick up is at bottom so should have been drinking diesel and no harm done in 200ft.
unless idled for a week...

Drain tank.
remove fuel line in engine bay and flush out and clean.
Examine injector pump to ensure it is not contaminated if you sense gas have it rebuilt or replaced.
Remove injectors and send them out for rebuild and clean the fuel rail lines...
check anything else fuel runs thru.

change engine oil. and then pray to Diesel gods

it does have 217k miles, some front end damage, and was really far out of town I bet they got a quote from mb for 13k (like we do at ford on f250s) and dumped it

ok excellent a lot worse than it would have been on my 123 or 115 but not as bad as the newer diesel trucks. Is there a good shop for injectors?
