Shocks replacement

2011 E350 RWD sedan with 485 option, 161k miles. Front shocks seems to be at the end of life, rears are probably not too far away. Loved the way the suspension was before and would like to keep it that way or very close to it. Definitely don't want the suspension sportier. What shocks do you guys recommend I use? I saw some people were happy with Bilstein B4s, Sachs seems to be OEM but can't find the part number for the fronts. I'm also going to buy new strut mounts, bearings and bump stocks. Which brand is closer to OEM quality for these? What else should I replace while I'm at it?

Thank you

My W204 had around 150,000 miles when I replaced the front struts, rear springs and shocks with all used parts with 40,000 miles. Cost me less than the price of one brand new Mercedes strut. If the parts last another 60,000 miles great. My goal is to keep the car in very good running condition for as little as possible. There is always something else to fix and spend money on with this car.

I noticed on the front struts they had the MB part# labels and if peeled off they had the sachs part #'s underneath. If i were to buy new parts i would look for Sachs, Bilstiens or Genuine Mercedes. I would rather buy used Genuine Mercedes parts than aftermarket parts.

I reused all the hardware. I did buy new lower shims for the rear springs since the old shims were worn to nothing.

I like the seller labur Parts on ebay. They usually list the mileage and have plenty of photos to look at. All the parts ive received are in great condition.

So I checked this ebay seller, but i don't see them listing the mileage of the used part. Do you have to email them for the mileage?

I made a thread about some of the repairs ive made and found great deals on parts. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...uspension.html

Struts, springs, shocks. Another time I needed to replace the rear e-brake cable and rusted dust shields and found a complete wheel carrier for the price of new parts. I've been collecting rear control arms since mine are getting worn. Saved alot of money buying used and like I said the parts are in very good condition.

@TimC300 thanks ok i see the mileage but it's not really a good price for what i'm looking for. I need 4matic front struts and the one listing i see is about $165 with shipping but it's got 115k miles already. I can get new Bilstein B4 for $150 at Rockauto + strut mounts for $60. So total $210 for brand new struts. But I will check out what else I can find. Like you, my E350 got 144k miles, and I'm starting to DIY as much as I can to keep her running for as long as possible.
