I know, I know - they have a great reputation (had). At some point (greater thatn two years ago) they went from a lifetime warranty to a 2 year warranty - well, mine was two and a few months. The drivers side started to sag - the I put in a new solenoid and right after the left side also sagging. Had I taken care of this car the minute I saw the sag - may have been warranty.

So, purchased two new units from RMT for less than half the price...plus they have a lifetime warranty. I am not yet saying they are good or bad, just cheaper and have a lifetime warranty (what ever that might mean).

 

chinese I surmise, nice score on the warranty. I see aliexpress sells them as cheap as $50 each. it's a shame about arnott; for years they were the only game in town when it came to an oem alterative. I can still remember them hounding me to send the old cores back for my bmws.

 

You are most certainly correct. For me, the "factory" is about two hours or so (maybe three) in case I need to show up there and demand a warranty thing. At least they are super easy to replace.

 

I think they might do a decent amount of work in that Ft. Lauderdale location.
