Yet, you harshly criticize the Sport versions of the new W205 and W212/213 with the three-pointed star in the grill - exactly what your CLA45 AMG has !!!

Then, you mentioned that you wouldn't spend money on an E built on the C Class platform - presumably this was a reference to the new W213. Well, your Hungarian produced CLA is built on a B Class FWD platform !

Sharing of platforms between different models has become very common with most manufacturers, e.g. VW Golf/Euro Passat, BMW 3/4 Series, MB B Class/CLA, C Class & E Class, etc.

I think I said I preferred the classic elements. This thing could have no grill and be on a Studebaker body as far as I am concerned. A day at the track is what put it in the garage not its appearance.

Ha Ha !!!:) Obviously, from your point of view, :zoom:its performance well exceeds its appearance !!! :y

The thing will set your hair on fire if you have any.
Besides, this being a derivative of a FWD car - which it is in cruising down the highway - I don't see it as a real Benz but it rides nice.
I took a trip across island with 4 in the car over twisty hilly roads. The Nav said 2.25 hour ETA. I made it in 1.4 hr. so it is enjoyable to drive and everyone was comfortable.
Now C63 AMG is a totally different kettle of fish!!

I'll be honest, I don't think the interior, in the front that is, is as nice as the C class'. Still, it's a gorgeous car and I can't wait to start seeing them on the road.

Great vid. I pulled the trigger on the S class with no regrets thus far. Loving it.

Thanks :) At the introduction of the new E class the S class was also present. The new E class might have better technology, but the S class is still "king of the road" ;)
