I just factory-ordered a W213 E450 4MATIC sedan. Hoping it comes with all of the advertised features. The dealer said the only things he noticed were not being included in recently delivered orders are the wireless phone charger and the hands free access trunk opener. I can live with that!
I was reading the online manual, and was shocked that MB hasn't found a way to override the laws of physics:
"If you fail to adapt your driving style, 4MATIC can neither reduce the risk of an accident nor override the laws of physics."
(Page 160 of E Sedan Owner's Manual.)

HELP. I can't figure out how to use the search boxes. There is one for "this thread" and another up above. I'm trying to find info on W213 safety. I've tried Distronic, Driver safety package, Safety. I get a lot of replies which have nothing to do with my search string. Any hints?? Thanks

New to this team
Hello to all of the W213 folks! While I'm new to this sub-forum I'm not new to the site having spent a bunch of years as the owner of a 2002 CLK55, which I sold back in 2021 before I deployed to Afghanistan.( Those cars hate sitting and they express that hate in a number of vivid ways) I have been without a Benz since until I decided some months ago on an E class and then with more research a 2019 E450 AWD. Lots of reasons but the short list was V6, twin turbo, paddle shifters, Sport plus and AWD. I narrowed the search even further to all of the above in Black exterior. That narrow a search found a lot of near misses or spot-ons but with accident histories. Ten days ago this one popped up. No accidents and spent its life as a lease vehicle with all the service performed at the MBZ dealership in Fredericksburg, Va., just down the road. I ordered a PPI, which came back super clean. Three minor issues: low coolant level, a battery which held a charge but not consistently to MBZ standard and a small tear in the roller shade. The MBZ dealership in Richmond just powerflushed and replaced the coolant, replaced the other two items with new. After all of that we had a deal. The car looks beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased.
