Tranny fluid at 40k or 70k miles - HELP!

Tranny fluid at 40k or 70k miles - HELP!
I have a 2013 E350 (7G) and have been told two different things. The manual says 40k miles but I was told it was adjusted by MB to 70k miles. Which is true, should I change it now or wait? They want to charge me $335 to do it now. Please HELP!

Update: if anyone has this problem - if you have a Hybrid or AMG, you need to change the tranny fluid before 70k miles. If you do not, 70k miles/ 7 years is confirmed.

I would go by the manual unless they can give you something in writing. You should post in the W212 forum also where this will get more attention by current owners. IIRC there was a thread where the change in transmission model was discussed and when this maintenance schedule change took effect.

Thanks! New to this, so I am trying to figure it out. Luckily I do have an email string as well as the maintenance sheet MB sent to my email the day of. I am very glad I didn't end up having to pay an additional $335 and also have peace of mind about it! =)
