Keep in mind that the E300 is an entry level 4 cyl. car with little standard content. The E350 and E400 will have more standard features and probably only two prem packs.

There won't be E350 nor E400 - E350 is replaced by E300 while E400 (E550 "replacement" in the US) is replaced by E43 (or E45, or whatever else they'll call it - same engine as in C450 and GLE450) "AMG". True AMG is E63 and will continue.

Liking the level of standard equipment...looks like the car will have Navi, LED headlamps (at least the static one), split seats and a regular sunroof. Glad they didn't go Pano-only on this car like the C-Class. Wishing for some 20" wheels though...
If the pricing on the 43 isn't too crazy and it has a reasonable lease payment, the car will be the one to have for me.

I do not think that is correct. The 6cyl cars have a later intro but sure as hell they will come.

E43 is 6cyl - same V6 TT 3.0 engine as in current E400 upgraded to and above C450's and GLE450's level of output. Having said above there maybe an "E550" after all, but a hybrid same as S550 hybrid - current E350+electric motor.

Interesting. My dealer is saying ordering banks are open. I'm thinking of filling my order tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens.
On a side note. Anyone know if there are any differences between the leather package and mb-tex other than the actual material? (different stitch or more leather surfaces...etc)

If your dealer says order banks are open, I would suggest you get a PO #. This will be proof that the order has been actually entered into the MBUSA (in US) system and not simply just the dealer taking the order and waiting until the order bank is open.

I spoke to my dealership. My guy said they will have 2017 E43s in stock by the end of the year. He expects the first ones in mid-December. He did not know when ordering would be open.
E300s will be in this summer. He expects to have their first supply in early July. Ordering is open for them "soon."
