My first MB I owned was an amazing and fast beast, with fuel injection decades before people accepted it (remember when it had to be carbed?) There's more I could say about its superiority for 1972.

I own a baby Benz now. It is superior to the 72 "S series" of its day. You don't have to go that far back to respect modern 4 cylinders. But if it makes you feel 'small' from light to light, maybe an E Series is not really what you need.

But it is a MB so its not about what you 'need' as much as what you 'want' so opinions will vary.

To the buyer, markets vary from month to week to state to climate. The best way to buy a car is to find a price YOU would like, and give it to the dealership, walk away when they reject it, and accept it when they offer to accept it days later.

Back to OP's question. Not a good deal at all. Please provide Money factor and residual value and Never put a down payment on a lease. Instead give them multi security deposit which will bring your monthly payments down and you will get the cash back when you return the car at the end of the lease.
