17 E300 Lease
#51
It seems people that the CLA bumped up the classes a bit where people who used to get C's are getting CLA, and who were getting E's are getting C's. Then people who are getting S's are always going to get S's regardless of price.

I purchased a loaded E class which is why the lease is so high. No offense but a 5 series doesn't compare to the quality of this. My buddy has a 15 550xi and I had it for the week before buying my E300 and its night and day, even he agrees. Can you show us your lease info MSRP, actual cost, and residual rates for your 528XI. It'll give us more info on how it compares.
To say "there is no comparison" is a bit of an overstatement.
I've driven previous E- Class, and would never buy it, even it was cheaper, than 5 Series.
BTW, just got a flyer from local Porsche dealer- 2016 Panamera 4 Edition, MSRP $93, 900.
36 month 10 K year lease- $717/month, $4K cap cost reduction, and $4,500 Incentive applied toward the current lease of non- Prsche vehicle.
I'm going to check it out tomorrow

The sleeper in all this is the CLS 550. The 400 is gone for this year and there are only a couple 550s in my entire area. It is a fantastic machine with that great V8 twin turbo (which is becoming a rarity outside of AMG).
I'm not sure if it is sort of a compromise between S class and E class, where peak efficiency is achieved at neither end. Or, it is a best of both worlds situation with a good mix of sport and luxury. Tomorrow I am going to test drive one and I am looking forward to it although I don't know how much they will discount this very expensive car. They may discontinue it or give it a new face lift next year since it is getting long in the tooth. If it survives it may not get that V8 next year. Perhaps because of this they will discount it well. If I like it I am shooting for 9% off list but that may be stretch. We shall see but it will be fun in any event.

I am in the market to replace my 2015 E350 W4 (MSRP of $65,100) which had a great lease program of $645 a month with only normal inceptions. The same MSRP now leases for the low to mid $800s a month.
No adaptive headlights.
Turbo 4 motor that sounds like a diesel
I am having a hard time adding more than $175 a month for that even though I really like the new E300. I would be more comfortable paying $900 for the E43 AMG.

Comparing BMW to MB is a dangerous topic, and opinions vary widely.

I drove one (Panamera 4 Edition) yesterday again, and it is amazing.
In a different league from my BMW 5-Series, and I suspect, form "17 E-class (especially E300) as well.
For comparable money, Porsche is a no- brainer.
The only way E-300 might be an option, if the lease payments were in low $600s, which doesn't seem to be the case, and I'm not sure, if it ever will be.
My brother just leased MB C450 AMG for his wife, and at MSRP of $62,000, it's $790/month!!!
At this money, I'm getting me a Panamera.

It's a 2016 Panamera 4 Edition model ($88K MSRP)and I don't know, whether, or not it has new navi and interior
The new, redesigned Panamera arrives here in Jan, and only Turbo and S- models first, base one comes much later.

My problem with the panamera is there are so many options and editions which makes me feel like i'd regret not getting something i wanted because i didn't feel at the time it was worth the money (and couldn't really afford it).
I'm curious about how their Burmester compares to the the E300 Burmester options. I remember it being much better than their stock panamera when we looked at them, but wondering if its more like the $800 or the $4550 3D system?

Going back on topic, MB of Tampa has this "managers special"
$599 a month 36 months (not including taxes, fees, registration, etc)
3K down
10K annual miles
MSRP around 58K (so it basically has the sport package 18 inch wheels, P1 and metallic paint)
Not too bad, but I remember getting pricing on a 2016 last year (2015) around November/December and being able to get that for $499 for 36 months, $0 down 10K annual 57K-58K MSRP (only had P1 and metallic paint). I really think the 2017 E pricing will go down quite a bit by next summer because right now the E is so new dealerships aren't willing to give good incentives on them.

The best way to compare leasing deals is to get the money factor and the residual percent for the "financed amount". I've gotten some good deals from Lokey Motors in Clearwater. I've purchased cars from them since the early 1970's.
#64
That sounds kind of high for a 60K E. I know in Tampa, FL they have a lease "special" of $599 36 months 3K down and 10k annual for a 58.5K sticker E.

While leasing seems attractive...I've just never seen myself "renting" a car. I guess though if you typically like a new car every three years then that's the way to go. I guess as one person stated dealerships don't care whether you finance or lease...they're getting paid.

Leasing has its advantages and disadvantages, same goes for financing and buying a car outright. For me leasing works better because I like to switch cars often and I don't want to deal with depreciation or lost value due to accidents and whatnot.
Dealerships prefer leasing because they make money on the lease, then when the car comes back at the end of the lease, they put it on their lot and make money off that (and if they certify the car after the lease they'll make even more).
With leasing, I don't see it as "renting" because no one drove the car yet and the person leasing it is the first owner and has the option to buy after the lease. Whereas renting a car I see as using a car that someone else used temporarily.

What was the actual monthly lease payment savings with the multiple security deposits?
Have used MSDs on my BMWs and I am familiar with the BMW program.
What are the particulars re the MB program? My MB dealer has never suggested them on my leases of E Class.

I'm finally ready to lease the new E. The pricing I got from one dealership is as follows:
MSRP: $59,795 (white on brown MB-Tex, P1, 19' AMG wheels, Pano roof, rear deck spoiler and wheel locking bolts)
$599 a month
36 months
12K annual miles
$8500 down
includes maintenance, window tint, and them taking care of my current Jeep lease (only 2 payments left)
The $8500 down is absolutely ridiculous. I'm trying to get them to come lower on the down payment.

I bought my car the day after Thanksgiving.
MSRP $58,395 ( Metallic Green + P1 + Sports Package with 18 AMG RIM )
Drive Off : $1500
Lease Payment : $630 Including Taxes.
On the hindsight, without paying MSDs; My payment should have been close to $585 odd including Taxes. Oh Well; Next time.
The only issue I have is the Rattling/Creaking noise from the door panels and wooden trims across and also some noise from rear (don't know where it's coming from though). Will be dropping of the Car at dealership tomorrow; so that they can look into it and hopefully fix it too.
