E250 cabin heat
My 05 E320 CDI had an electric heat that took the chill off while the diesel engine warmed. This was a nice feature since diesels take forever to reach operating temp. Does the E250 have this. There was not a button or anything like that it would just instantly (more or less) have some heat. I am not referring to seat heaters. I am referring to the main cabin heat

MBWorld Fanatic!
It's my understanding that current diesels have this feature as standard given that,as you say, diesels take forever to warm up.All three of mine (BMW & MB) put out heat very quickly in winter.

Now that you asked, I always automatically turn on both the heated steering and seats when I head out during the cold Winter days. The leather seats are cooold!!!
I don't quite notice if the vents are blowing cold air initially as I left mine on "Auto Climate Control".
But I do see that the engine oil does take quite some time to warm/heat up and the Diesel engine does struggle a bit louder before it smooths out!
BTW, you post this in the wrong forum as the 2017 W213 doesn't have any Diesel E250 just yet.
Only the E300 4M is released for now here in Canada. Not sure if it's the same in the US.
The E250 BlueTec (W212) is a 2016 MY.
Just last Saturday, I went to test drive the 2017 E300 4M.
It was a fully loaded model with all the techs and huge NAV screen finally.
It even has massage seats for the front.
The W213 is a vastly improved vehicle which makes the W212 and the BMW F10 looks rather dated.
I'm waiting for the BlueTec model to be released before I consider trading in my 2013 BlueTec.
Cheers
