never liked the facelifted C207. looks too warped imo. i may be bias but thats the reason why i went with pre fl instead of the fl.
the new E coupe on the other hand. same as the sedan, when spy shots came out for the first time most didnt like it. im actually more interested with the E coupe interior as i somehow have an idea how the exterior would look like.

I agree. My first thought when I saw the partially revealed 2018 coupe was "whimpy." Bland works too.
And I am underwhelmed by the 2017 sedan looks for the same reason. At least on the outside. The interior is another story. In recent years I've preferred the Sport exterior trim on the sedan, but not on the 2017. To my eyes, the Luxury grill and trim at least give it that "Hey I'm a Mercedes" look the Sport trim does not convey.
With the coupe, I prefer an edgier look than what the 2018 coupe is showing in the early pictures, as evidenced by my 2012 E350 in my signature picture. Maybe the 2018 coupe will grow on me, but I'm liking my low-mileage, problem-free '12 more every day.
Just one opinion.
