Apparently, cars produced after Sept 20 now have the B63 Sport Sound Enhancement feature installed. When I go into Sport or Sport+ mode, I can swear that someone has changed out the engine for a 6 cylinder, such is the change in the engine sound in the cabin. Anyone else notice this on recently produced vehicles?

The E43 I test drove definitely had it. Its obvious to my ears that the engine music was "piped" in. Not because it sound "artificial' but rather because the ride was otherwise thoroughly silent. BTW the "music" was glorious, deep and throaty and just loud enough to liven the ambience without being annoying in the process! Superbly well done.

 

Anyone know any updates on this & if we can add it through a software update?

 

The loaner I got today with a build date of 12/16 has this. It sounds weird, it has a delay of 1 sec or so but its better then the honda accord sound. Wondering how I can enable this on my own car...
