Very nice! They need to offer different trim options for the center console in the US. While the piano black trim in my E300 has a classy look, it is very hard to keep clean and scratches easily and shows every speck of dust
One thing that bothers me is that the wood grain on the ashtray lid does not match the trim piece, that doesnt look very premium to me.
On my W205 the grain matched.

Hey Rick, you should not have to keep your lemon! I hope the second dealer has taken care of you. If not, bring the car to Dallas, multiple dealers here. I have had great experience with Park Place. They have bent over backwards to make me happy. I had previously an X164 diesel from hell. They fixed it for free even though it was out of warranty.

Someone on the 205 forum was able to get the dealer to swap out their center console trim because of the mismatched grain...
Looked into it yesterday and when ordering the panel the ashtray lid is included,
I also checked our other coupés on the lot and it was just the one I pictured that had mismatched grain.
So I ordered a black ash panel for my car, unfortunately stock was non existant so I hope it will arrive within reasonable time.

Do you know what the retail price is for that, if you don't mind me asking?
Looks good. Doesn't look like 650 dollars worth, but looks good
Hell no! for 650 bucks it better be made of solid, endangered, aromatic wood from Madagascar!
Ill just keep a little duster in my center console to keep my piano black one clean.
