Have an e400 wagon on order with build date week of Jan 7th
We were able to sit down with the sales dude and the dealer order guide and we worked live in his starnet online system or whatever it is called to customize the car. This was his first dealer allocation for an e400 and it was "yellow" which he said meant that it would soon be locked to where the order could no longer be changed. We gave him a deposit check yet the base price of the car in unknown. The price of all packages and options is in the DOG so that part is known.
Anyway, our deal is 6% off both base price and options plus the USAA incentive and we can back out if for some reason the base price premium over the sedan is ridiculous. He told us MB would probably release the price by end of the year but here we are on Dec 31.
He confirmed a build date of first "decade" of January which I believe means first 10 days of Jan which is basically next week.
Was wondering who else has an e400 on the way and what your dealer is telling you. Have any wagons arrived in the US yet?

The amount of the discount/incentive is unknown but he said I could apply whatever incentive they have available once the car and the incentive are here. But I wonder what happens if USAA doesn't have their program known by the time the car shows??

I have been looking hard at it for several months. I was told at end of August my dealer had his first order and would be delivered by "end if year". Then I was told "the order banks are now open" but the configurator had no base price just options except HUD and P03 were TBD and delivery dates might slip "into early 17". Now I'm told "order banks are open" but no confirmation of base price and delivery may be "Spring". Yesterday a different dealer says "first vehicles in port but awaiting release, date not known because of govt clearance and approvals".
In the last few days I've started looking at loaded 2016 wagons. I'd like the biturbo six and 9 speed but the 350 with seven is an excellent and adequate engine and a loaded 16 has lot in it. P01, Driver Assist, Active Blind Spot/Lane Keeping, Distronic Plus Assist, plus all sorts of extras are around and unless you can't live without Drive Pilot it's a very difficult decision. And no run flats, or worries about whether all the technology will work well out of the box.

T is a bit strange that cars are showing up yet they have not released pricing or really even officially announced that the wagon is an available model in the USA. Maybe they are trying to get guys like you to buy up the e350s first?!?
Personally I have no interest in buying a new old model off a showroom floor. That car was engineered over a decade ago. There is nothing wrong with it but the W213 is so much more modern and up to date in pretty much every way. Sure there will be growing pains but if I was going to get a W212 I would probably get a pre owned.
Maybe if you get a good deal it is a smart move as long as you are ok not getting a "new" car when you buy your new car.

I have a full copy of the DOG and there are prices for all options but no base price. Maybe there is a newer version of DOG? Mine is dated nov 1, 2016 and is marked "preliminary". Do you have a newer one? Can you share?

Thank you f350 for posting the December DOG. This is still market preliminary and my dealer says it is likely good but can't be guaranteed until the actually "launch" the car in the US.
My wagon has left mainland Europe aboard the Salome. Due in Baltimore in 9 days. I'll tell you what is going to be annoying.... they may hold the car at the port until MBUSA decides to officially "launch" the car in teh US.

I looked at a very sweet leftover 2016 E400 sedan with every option. I think they were at about the 11% off mark - was very compelling but I wanted the updated interior badly enough that I went with the 2017. If anyone is looking for one, MB of South Charlotte still has that E400 - Blue with Grey inside.

Well my e400 was offloaded in Baltimore yesterday which is only 30 miles from my dealer. It would be a quick trip to take delivery but as mB hasn't even officially announced the car for the US I am guessing my car will just sit in port accumulating seagull **** for a while. Oh well...nothing I can do about it.

That's a bummer that it is so close and you can't get it. Keep in mind though that after discharge, the car will still go through the VPC for final delivery preparations before heading to your dealer.
I followed up with my dealer today on my S213 and the initial delivery estimate of late February. Looks like late February is now turning into late March; pano roof, paint (Selenite Grey Magno) and P3 given as delay factors. Keep us posted here on your progress, and post pics soon...
