E-class drive pilot delay & the new S-class

I wonder if the delivery delay of E-class with Drive Pilot is related to the new S-class' improved Drive Pilot.

I hope so. Maybe they are updating the E300's system. I'd hate to have my just-ordered car be obsolete the day I drive it off the lot.

Ah sounds like it's going to be the case. Probably depends where you live, I've never seen any auto manufacturer other than Tesla introduce new features in software. Its usually set it an forget it.

Mercedes-Benz - We want continuous updates for Drive Pilot!!! Does on these forums know how to re-program cars with the latest firmware? Surely there is a dealer or two out there that would do it...

No updates to drive pilot
