Rear Side Airbags (Code:293 - $420)
What is your take on including the Rear Side Airbags (Code:293 - $420) in your vehicle configuration? It is not listed as an available option on Mbusa.com but dealers can do it. It is available for both e300 and e43

Side curtain airbags are standard on the '17 E Class. From MBUSA.com
An advanced system of 7 air bags offers 9-way occupant protection. Dual two-stage front air bags, combined thorax/pelvic bags for driver and front passenger, a driver's knee air bag, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows are standard.

Rear side airbags: optional
Rear side-impact air bags are optional:
"In addition to the seven standard air bags, side-impact air bags are optionally available for each outboard rear seating position."

In other countries they have the option of rear seat side bags and inflatable seatbelts. We don't get those. The rear sidebags used to be an option in some models but not anymore I guess they were rarely ordered.

It is possible to order in US
It is possible to order this option in US. Configurator at the US dealerships has this option. I ordered for e43.
