I typically drive in E as well as it's more of a comfortable drive for me.
I drive in E mode exclusively unless I forget to engage it. I get in fasten my seatbelt then the very next thing is to engage the E mode. I think acceleration is more than adequate with the exception of the initial hesitation then the acceleration kicks in
Glad to see that there are others who appreciates the 4 cylinder and E mode. I even have the Luxury model which is limited in the E class and was even more limited in the C class. I had a 2015 C class and had to custom order to get it in a Luxury model with Distronic Plus package.
This may be heresy, but I have been enjoying Eco mode (including gliding) in my E53 cabriolet. I know it is supposed to be sporty, and it is quick, but I bought it because I wanted a convertible and it also checks the box of being a hybrid. There are times when I like the sporty AMG side, but there are other times when I can appreciate the technology that allows a 429hp car to get unexpected semi-respectable gas mileage too.
