Why is the new W213 not very popular?

"You buy a car for not only basic transportation, and the e300 certainly gives you more than basic transportation, but for fun, excitement, emotional experience, engine power feel, the torque-y lift you get from bigger engines. Many don't get that from a four and want more and those people like me looked elsewhere while we still can. A day may come when that is not a realistic option, but for now it is and I suspect many e class buyers have looked elsewhere. regards. Ned".
Ned is correct. That is exactly why I went with the 2017 CLS550 instead of the E class.

Agreed. I don't need or want a V8, but I'm looking at the new E400 coupe which comes with.....wait for it.....a twin turbo six. 329 hp is plenty for me, perfect really. I drove the E300 sedan as a loaner for several days, fantastic car, but under powered for me.

That's the engine I was hoping for in the new e, that would have been perfect, would have bought one in a minute. Powerful enough with no doubt very good fuel economy. With the new tranny would have done 0-60 in well under 6 seconds I'm sure which is when cars start feeling fast, imo. Too bad, too late for me. Regards. Ned.
