340 miles into MB ownership with my E350e and got to make a trip to the dealer as the EML is illuminated and won't go away (not a great start!)

Fortunately the electric range when fully charged will get me to the dealer.

Interestingly the MercedesMe app doesn't record and issue?

Do you mean the dealer does not get information about the issue via MercedesMe or did you expect finding detailed information yourself from your app? I don't think the app was intended to be a free diagnosis tool for car owners. All it could report is "the check engine light is on", perhaps does not do even that?

Usually one can drive the car to service while check engine light is on, the engine just may have very limited power. You are lucky to have the electric boost.

Please report when the problem is solved.

I expected the MercedesMe app to report the EML warning light to me but the app still says no maintenance required.

There are so many lights on the car display the EML could easily be missed.

I quote the app as follows "there are currently no error messages"

Hopefully it's nothing but it's not great only 340 miles from new. My last Audi A7 did 36,000 miles without any warranty work or unscheduled visits to the dealer.

Off she goes to the dealers with 341 miles on the clock.

It's apparently a thermostat issue (RAC said engine was operating at -48 degrees according to system).

I've not seen any feedback about this hybrid model yet. Not available in the U.S. for now. How do you like it so far -- aside from the current issue?

I was fairly impressed until this issue, it's such a different type of car to my old Audi A7 Quattro that it's not fair to make a direct comparison.

Mercedes were meant to giving me another E350 today but they forgot to send one (five times out of five they have failed to call me back!) so I've driven our fleet MB V250 home until they can provide me a hire car.

The electric drive should be the same as on the S550e where the combustion engine is a bit more powerful. Obviously very limited feedback from the S550e too.
