Any Homelink problems???

Any Homelink problems???
New 2017 E300.
I can get it to register / learn my remote but can't get it to link for a rolling code.
I get the flashing green light from learning my remote code. Then, when I press the 'learn' button on my garage door opener (fairly new Sommer Garage door (German company)) and the button in the car that just learned the remote - nothing. It fails.
This car has had some odd electrical issues so it's either going back to the shop or a service guy from the dealership is going to have to come to the house to see if it's actually not working. I've had no problem with any of my other Mercedes cars to get the Homelink button to work.

If I remember correctly, you need the clicker to teach the code to the car system. Then you push the red button on the garage opener and then push the car button until it flashes. Then it should work.

My manual says otherwise like the first person indicated. I tried the clicker way also to no avail. Will see dealer when other issues show up which I expect. Meanwhile, the clicker.

I had problems with my GLC. Dealer was willing to come out to my house and set it up. You do need your remote as part of the setup.

Negatory on the video. Still doesn't work. Service is willing to come to the house to (try and) program it for me. Feel stupid, but have electrical issues with this car and this may be just another nail in it's coffin.

Picked up a rep from the dealership, Star Motor Cars Houston, TX and drove him to my house. He was unsuccessful, as well. Even with all the problems I've had with this car they can't imagine it could be the car. Hmmm.
