I assume parts are ordered from suppliers long in advance. Production starts June 1st. Maybe the 18 models are getting the new system that is going into the 18 S model and supply is in short supply?

its funny because that was the stated delay of my first attempt to buy a MB. I don't believe it as a guy ordered his the day after me and got his. I think its an allocation issue. I a am waiting for pricing and then I will try again FOR AN 18.

You are correct, that option was on hold last year for some E class.

And I was told when I picked up my car on Saturday that the delay in delivery (I was promised 8 weeks max and it took 16) was because of a shortage of driver's side 12'3" displays. Others on this forum were told the same. Whether these delay explanations are true or just to placate us -- I have no idea.
