i just bough a used centre console from ebay, swapped over the wood and sold it on. In total it cost me €15 in postage, got a genuine part and no parts cluttering up the cellar.

Can any of the very intelligent individuals in this thread confirm whether this is the right part no. (238-680-15-03) for an open pore (matte?) brown ash interior piece? On MBParts Direct its described as both brown ash and black ash which is confusing. I've got the touchpad and selector knob and ambient lighting.

2386801503 is black open-grained ash, natural open-grained ash wood (code 730) is shown in photo. Need VIN to match vehicle codes for replacement part.

Hi all,
Picked up a new E300e about three weeks ago. Lovely car!
Today I noticed that the center console wood grain is not matched with the storage lid. The lid is from a different piece of wood and also a bit different in the finish. A lot more matte than the console itself. Isn’t the console and the lid supposed to be a 100% match? I have looked at photos of a few different cars and all are matched. Here’s a pic from my car:

I am 99.9% sure its made as one piece and the lid cut out to ensure it matches in all respects.

Thanks for your answers guys! Like you said the whole point is for the wood pieces to match. I will check with my dealer if this is something that can be resolved under warranty, I have failed to find another car with a mismatched lid like mine.
Will let you know the outcome

2018 e300 Burl Walnut vs Piano Black console
vic_viper - thanks for this thread, I want to do this on my 2017 CPO. But I noticed that your pictures seem much nicer than some of the others, looks like maybe it's a sunlight issue, but there's a lot of reflection on the wood grain in some of the other pictures, while yours doesn't seem to have this issue. Can you confirm if your center console, when in direct sunlight, looks the same as the other pictures in this thread? Thanks!
Definitely worth removing the piano black and replacing it wit burl walnut. $550 incl shipping and $100 for installation from regular mechanic (30 mins). Good luck

The reflection is minimal, I took these pics from straight above probably with sunroof open. Sitting in drivers or passenger seat it's really minimal and because of the different angles any woodgrain differences are not noticeable unless someone is looking for a difference.

Hi folks, I tried searching on other threads and couldn't find an answer so posting here for help. The main multimedia connection unit (wired from under the console into the center storage box) on my W213 has a broken USB. This USB is required for CarPlay/Android Auto connection. After much digging, I managed to find the part (A2138200400) online (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283980076350) but wondering how to take out the unit.
I managed to open the console by going through this thread but unable to pop out the multimedia connection unit. Can't find anything to press to pop it out. Pictures below. Any ideas how to do it?
Broken port in the multimedia console unit (above)
Cables going into the port from the other side (under the center console)

Hello,
could you help me please?
I have a 2019 W213 E200 and I want to change the central console trim (which is now glossy black) with a brown ash wood H09 trim.
The dashboard and door panels are brown ash wood H09. My car does not have a touchpad, it only has that button wheel. VIN W1K2130121A772670
Can you find out what code I should order for this trim ?
Thanks
