Might as well continue that discussion here:

There are two different H&R lowering kits available for steel suspension, they lower 30mm (on paper)

H&R-28.740.1 up to 1105kg front axle weight and
H&R-28.740.2 from 1106kg front axle weight

The latter is normally used for larger engines and 4-matic as they are heavier up front, but we usually use the lighter spring in all applications as it tends to lower a bit more.

thank you so much! Are you located in the us? So to make sure I should be ordering the first one you mentioned. Can you recommend a website or a shop you purchased the springs from. I'm located in the us and never purchase items outside of the us. Thanks

They are pretty new here in Europe, dont know about availability in the US, but any well sorted suspension shop or H&R dealer should be able to get them for you.

Make sure you have clear bra and be mindful of curb/speed bumps. The entire front fascia/hood is a giant rock chips magnet.

Thanks all. Called h&r and they told me I had to wait 4-6 weeks min. They are still awaiting approval for US. The only way is to order through 3rd party. Not sure if I want to go through the hassle with shipping.. t

Petercs17 - I was looking as well and have contacted H&R as well as Eibach - Lorinser in Newport Beach has them already tested and confirmed from Germany. They are about the same price as the H&R as well (I was surprised). I am still debating as I installed some 20" wheels and not sure if I want to worry about it. Call them and they can get you a set - most tire and rim shops can install - I would call H&R and ask them for the local recommended shops and use them to install the Lorinser springs - Good luck

No - it's Lorinser direct - their US office is in Newport Beach and they even have a shop on site to install all of the products they sell
