I've tried using the mute button on the steering wheel, and from the volume adjustment roller, but those didn't do the trick. Is there a way to stop the radio from playing when I start the ignition?

I've noticed on mine that if I mute the radio and then go NAV, the next time I start my car the audio stays muted.

If it is off when you turn the car off, the radio is off when you turn the car on the next time. That's what mine does.

My method is the following. I hit the home button to the right of the console wheel. Then i turn the console wheel to media. Then i choose "no device..." and press the console wheel. Now, nothing plays when i get in the car, and i can chose what i want when i decide whether it will be music, sirius, am/fm radio, or iphone music

Unfortunately, not mine.

That's the method I'm using; but like a few people in this thread have said, if the radio is muted when turning the car off, it should stay that way when the car turns on. I'm thinking it could be a computer glitch.
